A Favourite Salutes

You Think So is a horse of firsts.

He was Jake Bayliss' first winner - and his first Flemington winner.
And at Bendigo's metropolitan graded meeting on Wednesday he was ridden for the first time by Jake's brother Regan - and he won!

"I have had an association with Mr Kent since I was 13 to so to win on this horse on my first ride of him means a lot."

"He is Jake's favourite horse so it is a special thrill to win on him."

Always travelling well in the Danny Curran Handicap, You Think So enjoyed a good trail midfield, Bayliss making his run from the 700m out wide.

"As a seven-year-old he has lost a bit of the speed in his legs so you need to get him going early," Bayliss said.

"He wound through his gears nicely and just outstayed them."

Recording the ninth success of his consistent 40 start career, one that has seen him amass nearly $430,000 in stakes, You Think So has been a terrific horse for owners Derek Murray, Miss Judmar Racing, John Corr, Peter Fitzgerald, Mongrel, John O'Brien, Rosswood,  Ed Woods, Larry Tyler, Wendy Tyler, Mervyn O'Gradie  and Rhonda O'Gradie.

A son of English 2000 Guineas winner Golan, You Think So is out of a full sister to Montahlia who won the Werribee Cup for the stable.
