Value A Winner

Aug 18, 2014

It is a shame that Good Value has had his issues, the sparingly raced eight-year-old always showing plenty of natural ability – as was on show at Caulfield on Saturday as he raced away to an impressive 4¼ length victory.

Enjoying a nice run behind leader Loot ‘N’Run in the Beveridge Williams Plate, Good Value was patiently steered by Michael Walker who has a good affinity with the Face Value gelding.

Hooking out from behind the leader at the top of the straight, Good Value quickly put in the big strides and away he went – looking so good recording the sixth success of his 20 start career.

Winning for the first time since November 2012, Good Value rewarded his owners for their patience through his injury set-backs.

“He was a horse of stakes class potential,” Michael Kent noted, hoping that the talented miler can continue his good form into the early spring.

Congratulations to owners Avedis Damirdjian, Adrian Smith, Rafi Poladian, Brian Tozer, Antranik Bedrosian, Dominic Piscioneri, Tony Beuk, Giuseppe Pacchiarotta, Mario Crisafulli, Harry Tachjian and Helen Vitale and thanks to Bruno Cannatelli for the winning photo.
