What A Beauty!

Jan 19, 2013

Whilst Michael Kent was kept busy with his two runners (both winners!) at Flemington on Saturday his son Michael Jnr was continuing the stable's good form a bit further afield - at the Woolamai picnic meeting!

During a busy year in which he also completed his Bachelor Of Science at Melbourne University, Michael - who has been riding track work for us for years - gained his picnic rider's licence.

Quickly riding his first winner - Chief Successor (for our stable supervisor Francis Finnegan) at Balnarring in November, Michael was back in winning form with one of his dad's horses this time - the well bred mare Beijing Beauty.

A home-bred for Lucky Racing, Beijing Beauty is a daughter of Dane Shadow (also sire of our Flemington winner Danish Whiskey) and the Rory's Jester mare Silent Jester.

Served last spring by Lucky Racing's multiple Group One winner Daliapour, Silent Jester is a half sister to the Group 3 placed six times Hong Kong winner Super Charge from the family of the big race winners Wrap Around, Fashions Afield and Ambulance.
