Aggressive in victory!

Dec 07, 2012

Having really caught the eye finishing on strongly for second after a tardy start when resuming at Trararalgon in mid-Novemer, it was no surprise that Aggregator had plenty of fans at his second run this campaign.

Sent out favourite stepping up from 1900m to 2232m at his second run since March, the son of AJC Derby winner Don Eduardo relished the journey - recording an impressive victory for Brad Rawiller,

Drifting back to last on the rails, the lightly raced five-year-old spotted his rivals a decent start coming to the turn and he looked to have the job ahead under his steadier of 60kg.

But the weight proved no hinderance as Aggregator hooked out widest at the turn, taking time to find his feet but really charging late to overhaul Statute who was carrying 6kg less!

It was a soft win on the line, Aggregator's second from just ten starts and the best is still to come.

Raced by Kevin Matthews, Michael Russell, Paul Lewis, Steven Heavey, Chris Vitale, Frank Taddeo, John Rowlands, Ian Maccallum, Develop & Invest Racing No.3 (manager Andrew Brumby) and Legend All Stars (manager Maeve O'Neill), Aggregator was a $NZ100,000 purchase at the 2009 New Zealand Ready to Run Sale.

Bred on the same Zabeel/Last Tycoon cross as the Group One winners Suntagonal and Hill Of Grace, he is a half brother to the NZ Oaks heroine Jungle Rocket.
