A Super performance

Nov 26, 2012

Former Queenslander Danish Whiskey has been in great form since joining the stable only recently and at just her second run for us the four-year-old was impressive saluting at Ballarat on Sunday.

Getting back on the rails, the lightly raced mare spotted the leaders a decent start coming to the turn and did not have a great deal of room on the fence.

However, once gaining the split at the 150m, the daughter of Dane Shadow burst through before racing away to a soft half length victory under the steadier of 60kg.

Previously a winner of three races at Doomben and Ipswich, Danish Whiskey looks set for better things and her win was well enjoyed by her owners the Three Fingers Racing Syndicate.

A $45,000 Magic Millions graduate, Danish Whiskey is bred to improve with maturity as she hails from the family of one of the all time greats of the Australian turf - the legendary miler Super Impose.
