Michael Jnr Getting Into The Magic Millions Spirit

Jan 08, 2018

Taking time out from his busy Magic Millions schedule - inspecting future stars at the first major yearling sales for 2018 - Michael Kent Jnr was a late minute replacement for his father who had to forgo his place in a Magic Millions polo team when the Caulfield meeting was transferred from Saturday to Sunday.
Part of a three man team with former jockey Chris Munce and now trainer another, Michael took on Hugh Bowman and Kathy O'Hara and had a great time doing so!
"The competition was fierce and it was a mighty tough game to play," he said - "especially with the ultra-competitive, often aggressive Bowman constantly trying to take you off the ball!"
Whilst Bowman scored two goals in the first chukka, Michael's team fought back in the second half - "my pony was far easier to steer in the second chukka and loved chasing the ball. We had the win behind us and I managed to score two goals to tie up the game."
"It was a terrific afternoon but it was back to work the next day with a big list of yearlings to get through."
The Magic Millions kicks off at 10am on Wednesday and Michael is on the ground for those interested in any purchases... 0432 164 086. We will all be cheering on Jonker in the big race on Saturday with his dam Hearts And Arrows having been a talented member of our stable.
