Good Night At Moonee Valley

Dec 15, 2017

It was a great night for the stable at Moonee Valley on Friday with Tenappy Ladies saluting in easy fashion whilst our apprentices Ethan Brown and Stephanie Thornton both kicked home doubles.

Racing in great heart this time in, Tenappy Ladies won his second race from his last three starts, atoning for a somewhat unlucky (racing in the worst part of the track) fourth at Bendigo in between.

Always travelling nicely midfield for Thornton, the tough four-year-old joined in out wide from the 600m and was strong to the line - saluting by 3/4 length with a bit in hand.

"This horse has been in really good form," Thornton noted.

"His first up win at Cranbourne was a really good one and he was unlucky second up. He is not the easiest horse to deal with but he is going really well."

The win was a birthday present for manager Rose Goutzioulis who shares ownership with nine other - you guessed it - nine happy ladies!

"We are so happy," she enthused, adding that Tenappy Ladies is the first horse for her and several other of the owners.
