Michael C Kent Racing Stables
Michael says: 'Cranbourne provides excellent training facilities. It's a city class training centre in a country environment which is conducive to horses doing well and the state's best barrier trials are conducted here.
Our stables are adjacent to the training facility which allows us to 'walk on' rather than float the horses to the track; we have access to the swimming pool and proximity to the beach which is a regular part of the training regime for our horses.
'I'm always open to alternatives. We cannot assume there are not better ways to train a racehorse. We have to be smarter than simply relying on big numbers, on turning over horses in order to find a good one and be smarter in nurturing and developing the good ones we find.'
